As long as you earn more than 1,000 yen in a month, each months' commissions will be paid the following month, within the first two weeks of the month.
Example: January commissions will be paid in the first two weeks of February.

Amounts under 1,000 yen will be added to a balance for you, which will automatically roll over until the total is 1,000 yen or more.
If you'd like to receive payment for commissions under 1,000 yen in any given month, please write to affiliate@hlj.com within the first week of the following month.

You can view your performance at any time in your Affiliate Dashboard which was provided in your onboarding email. You'll also receive a PDF copy of your dashboard at the end of each month via email.

If you have lost the link to your affiliate dashboard, need to add a Google account for direct access, or you can't access the dashboard for any other reason, please contact us at affiliate@hlj.com with the details of your issue.

In July of 2023, we switched our Affiliate Dashboards from Google’s Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics 4 offers more precise data, but some elements of the report had to change during this process. If you haven't looked at your dashboard in a while and are confused by the change in format, it's likely because of this switch. No data was lost in the switch, and the Affiliate report is now more accurate than ever!

Our affiliate program is run via link tracking, rather than coupon tracking. For this reason, there is no coupon code provided for joining the program.

We do, however, offer frequent promotions exclusive to affiliates, which sometimes include coupons. Keep an eye on email from affiliate@hlj.com, as well as right here on the portal, for information about promotions!

Upon request, we can send a copy of payable invoices for tax or accounting purposes.

If you don't need an invoice for tax or accounting purposes, and just want to keep track of your commissions or earned sales, please refer to your affiliate dashboard.

Every affiliate is different, and for some it just takes some time to see success with getting link clicks. But there are some simple changes you can make that we recommend to all of our affiliates:

- Firstly, consider if your links are somewhere visible. If your audience can't see your links, they can't click them!

- You should consider your audiences' interests when selecting products to link. Sometimes, linking a genre of products can be more effective than a single product, but only if your audience likes that genre. For example, if you produce content about anime, it's likely that your audience might want to buy anime products. Don't just link stuff you like, but consider what they might like too!

- Be sure to use our selection of graphics to make easy posts about new products or sales events.

- Check our website frequently for exciting new products and offers to link to your audience.

- Post at times when your audience is most active.

- Make sure that your affiliate links contain your affiliate name in the URL - if it doesn't, the results may not be tracked properly.

This depends on the platform you are using. For social media websites like Twitter or Facebook, keeping an affiliate link that directs to the HLJ homepage in your bio can sometimes be effective. On YouTube, we recommend including the link in your video description and drawing attention to it in the video itself.

We like to offer a 'no obligation' system, meaning you can post affiliate links as often or as little as you'd like. Of course, posting links more frequently increases your chances of earning money through commission. If you'd post a lot of them then take a break, no problem! If you only want to post items relevant to your audience, that's also fine. Do what works for you!

Affiliate Dashboards update in real time, however, they use data from Google Analytics. Google Analytics can take up to 48 hours to finalize data, so you may need to wait to see your order appear.

An order may or may not be credited to your affiliate link, depending on the steps taken between clicking and completing checkout. For best results, be sure to access the site via your affiliate link and place the order without leaving the site or stepping away from your device. If you have to leave or step away, start over from clicking your affiliate link rather than picking up where you left off.

Finally, please understand that there are cases in which we are unable to track purchases due to a user's privacy or cookie settings. Purchases made under these circumstances are unfortunately outside of the scope of the affiliate program, as we are unable to track such purchases.

We use Google's last click attribution model for the affiliate program, as well as Google Analytics' default session measurement settings.

Google will give credit for a sale to the last external referrer (that is, your affiliate link). As long as you don't leave HLJ.com after clicking the link, or click a different external link to HLJ.com during your visit, your tracking won't be interrupted.
