For history fans, the Japanese Warring States period is truly exciting. Powerful warlords arose across the land, competing for national unification. Nobunaga in Owari, Hideyoshi in the west, Date in Sendai, Takeda in Kai, Uesugi in Echigo. Many are fascinated by these heroes of the Sengoku era whose burning ambitions clashed on the battlefield.
Now, a set of figures faithfully reproducing these famous warlords of the Sengoku period is here. Though non scale, each figure stands about 6 cm tall including the base. All figures come pre painted and fully assembled.
The lineup includes the well known Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen, Maeda Toshiie, Date Masamune, and Sanada Yukimura. In addition, Oda Nobunaga is portrayed in his youth, when he was called a "fool" or "great fool." Hideyoshi is included as either the young Kinoshita Tokichiro or Hashiba Hideyoshi, chosen at random. Also featured is the colorful Maeda Keijiro, famous for many anecdotes, with two versions randomly included: a standard face or one painted with kabuki patterns. Along with these eight figures, one spearman foot soldier or musket foot soldier is randomly included, plus one horse. The horse also comes in randomly assorted body colors.
Each warlord is posed to reflect his unique character. Every figure comes with a display base and nameplate. The randomly included variant versions add to the enjoyment. Line them up together and you can feel the heat of the Sengoku period.
