Description
This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.
This book reveals the details of the U.S. military's participation in the 1978 West German autumn exercises "Saxon Drive" and "Seltan Shield," which were part of the "Reforger" exercises conducted annually from 1967 to 1993.
The purpose of Seltan Shield, the largest NATO ground military exercise of 1978, was to familiarize the Reforger units that had moved from the United States with the local situation and tactical environment.
The total strength of the exercise forces was 55,780 personnel, along with 6,370 wheeled vehicles, 2,800 tracked vehicles, 562 helicopters, and 24 aircraft.
This book visually explains the core U.S. military vehicles and Allied ground combat tactics during the Cold War, accompanied by exciting photographs of vehicles such as the M60 Patton, Leopard 1NL, M110A1 self-propelled howitzer, and M561 Gama Goat, from these two Reforger '78 exercises.
