The AK74M is a 5.45mm-caliber rifle officially adopted by the Soviet Union at the end of the Cold War. This modernized model features a folding plastic stock and handguard, and side rails allowing for the attachment of various optical devices. The GP25 under-barrel grenade launcher, an attachment for the AK, uses caseless 40mm grenades, and has been widely used in combat since the Afghanistan conflict as a means to significantly enhance infantry firepower. Its unique cylindrical form and style, mounted below the barrel, are one of the iconic features of the AK series.
Tomytec's "Little Armory" lineup now brings us the dignified style of an AK74M equipped with a GP25 grenade launcher, recreated in 1/12 scale! This kit includes not only the GP25 grenade launcher, but also a stock with a recoil pad to absorb the intense recoil, and a 2.8x 1P78-type scope. (It can also be assembled without the launcher attached.) The stock can be displayed in either the retracted or extended position by swapping parts, and the grenade launcher sight can be attached at any angle. The GP25 grenade launcher can also be attached to the separately-sold [LA010] AKM type and [LA079] AKMS type.
