The Type 100 submachine gun is a weapon that uses 8mm Nambu bullets, developed in Japan during World War II. While it has a layout similar to the Bergmann MP18, the ancestor of submachine guns, with a wooden stock and side-loading magazine, it also incorporates unique Japanese design elements throughout, such as a slim body, a unique muzzle device, and the adoption of a bayonet attachment. The 8mm Nambu bullet used had better recoil control and improved accuracy at close range, compared to the 9mm Parabellum and .45ACP bullets commonly used in other countries.
Tomytec recreates the late model version of the Type 100 submachine gun in 1/12-scale as part of their "Little Armory" series! The bolt can be opened or closed, and you can choose whether or not to use the Type 2 bayonet. The Type 30 bayonet that comes with the Type 38 rifle (sold separately) can also be attached.
