Description

This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

The product is modeled on the ship as it appeared in 1944, featuring triple machine guns at the bow and stern, Type 21 radar, and additional gun mounts.

The flight deck is molded as a single piece, with the elevator section as a separate part. The flight deck reproduces details such as the wooden deck, deck joints, and the base of the arresting gear. Windbreaks and the Type 21 radar on the flight deck are also reproduced as separate parts.

Included are four types of carrier aircraft-two each of the Type 21 Zero Fighter, Type 52 Zero Fighter, Type 97 Carrier Attack Aircraft, and Tenzan Carrier Attack Aircraft. The aircraft parts include the fuselage, landing gear, tail gear, canopy, and propeller, with armaments such as bombs provided as separate parts depending on the aircraft type.

Delicate ship fittings that cannot be expressed with injection parts are reproduced using photo-etched parts. These etched parts include handrails, ladders, catapults, funnel railings, footholds, and flagpoles.
