James Groman brings his original character, Gill Beast Nazamu, to Acro's "KRS" figure lineup! Groman comments:

"I was just a kid when I first saw the great 1954 film "Creature from the Black Lagoon" (an anaglyph 3D film!) at my local library. For weeks after seeing the film, the images were stuck in my head and I couldn't wait to tell someone about it. I was fascinated by the design and modeling of the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the rubber suits. As the years passed, I had the opportunity to model a sea creature inspired by "Creature from the Black Lagoon." A few years ago, as my career in toy design began to take off, I was able to take the time to create my own "Gill-Beast" that was heavily inspired by "Creature from the Black Lagoon." I showed the finished work to various companies, and was very happy to see that Mr. Kadowaki of Acro, a company that sells soft-vinyl products in Japan, showed a high level of interest. I was already familiar with Acro's amazing lineup of remixed Ultra monsters (Kaiju Remix Series). 

"The name of this work is Namazu, Lord of the Deep Sea. This is derived from a giant catfish, a legendary creature from all over Japan that is said to cause earthquakes and tsunamis. In legends, the giant catfish is feared by people as a very ferocious and terrifying beast..."
