The WC series is a series of small to medium-sized military vehicles developed and used in the United States during World War II. WC is the internal code of the vehicle manufacturer that developed it, with W representing 1941 and C representing the standard in 0.5-ton units. The WC series is a series of small four-wheel-drive vehicles that were mostly used by the U.S. military, and in addition to equipment transport types (weapon carrier types), multiple variations were developed, such as troop carriers, ambulances, reconnaissance vehicles, and anti-tank self-propelled gun types; a total of more than 360,000 of these vehicles were produced. A total of 1,155 units of this WC-18 field ambulance were made.
