Description
This is a train model which is meant to be operated on standard model railroad sets.
The 12 series coach has been used as a passenger car since 1969, when the 20 series blue train started service to secure the transportation capacity for the Osaka World Exposition held in 1970. A diesel engine is installed under the floor of the Suhafu 12, to provide power for up to 6 cars; since no locomotive is involved, these cars are widely used for ordinary and express trains, as well as for temporary and group use.
