This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.
The Dornier DO17 is a twin-engine aircraft developed by Dornier in 1934. In pursuit of high-speed performance, it was designed with a smooth nose and a thin fuselage. Deployment started in 1937, and it participated in battles in the Spanish Civil War. The DO17Z type featured improvements over the original, and was the main type of DO17. It was equipped with an air-cooled Bramo 323 star engine; initially it was equipped with a 900-horsepower type, but that was upgraded to a more powerful 1,000-horsepower type. It participated in the Battle of Britain in World War II; after that, its production was halted in 1940 in favor of its successor, the DO217. However, the DO17 continued to fight hard on the Eastern From until the end of the war. In 2013, the Dornier DO17 that crashed during the Battle of Britain was discovered and raised from the sea in southeast England; an exhibition was planned at the RAF Museum, and it attracted much attention as the only surviving DO17.
This model kit from Lindberg realistically reproduces the Dornier DO17's easily recognizable slender, smart body shape and aerodynamic design. The landing gear can be built either stored or extended; four crew figures in a vertical row are included. A transparent canopy and a transparent stand for display are also included, as are decals for two versions. Order yours today!
