This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Platz's 1/72-scale model kit of the F-15 Eagle now reproduces the U.S. Air Force specification, the F-15C version. The differences from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force version, such as the vertical tail parts, are well reproduced. The aircraft's distinctive shape and panel lines provide a realistic finish, and the attention to detail is amazing, including the engine nozzle being divided into parts, and the delicate reproduction of the landing gear. The cockpit is also highly realistic, from the meter panels to the seats. The markings are selected from aircraft belonging to the 44th Fighter Squadron, 18th Wing of the U.S. Air Force, which was deployed from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa to Prince Sultan Base in Saudi Arabia in 2020. The shot-down mark as a MiG killer and the nose-art markings are reproduced with new decals.
