This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The Soviet-developed MiG-15 is an indispensable aircraft in the history of the post-war jet fighter era. It made its first successful flight in 1947, and its deployment and operation began in 1949. It is said that technology brought from Germany after the war was introduced into its design (such as the airframe shape with the swept wing), and it demonstrated high flight performance. The engine was eventually replaced with the VK-1, and the MiG-15bis appeared with improvements to each part. It became the most-produced type among the many MiG-15s produced. The mass-produced MiG-15 was adopted by the Soviet Union and many communist countries; it was also used by the Finnish Air Force, and was active for a long time. The double-seat type was used for pilot training at UTI.
This model kit from Platz brings us a double-seat trainer MiG-15UTI. The parts are made by Eduard, renowned for their sharp reproduction. The aircraft is divided into left and right parts; the characteristic swept-back main wing accurately reproduces its shape and angle. The cockpit, landing gear and landing gear storage are all highly detailed and realistically finished as well. Decals for Finnish Air Force markings are included too. Order yours today!
