This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The AM-1 Mauler is a carrier-based attack aircraft developed by the U.S. Martin Company and operated by the U.S. Navy. In response to the development plan for a multipurpose bomber requested by the U.S. Navy in the early 1940s, Martin prototyped the XBTM-1, signed a development contract in 1944, and the Mauler flew for the first time in August of the same year. Deployed as the AM-1 in 1948, this machine was able to fly with a payload of 4,830kg, the largest single-engine aircraft at the time. It was referred to as "Able Mable," a play on "AM." However, since its deployment time overlapped with that of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider, all aircraft were assigned to the Navy Reseve Unit when production ended, and it was retired in 1953.
This model kit from Modelsvit comes with older injection parts by SIGA/ACE, as well as photo-etched parts, a new injection canopy, painting mask seals and decals for three versions. It's armed with torpedoes and two types of bombs, two types of rockets and radar pods, and pylons required for each weapon. Order yours today!
