This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

This kit from Mikro Mir is a completely new mold! The K-7 was a large bomber and commercial passenger aircraft developed by the Kalinin Design Bureau in the Soviet Union during the 1930s. When operated as a civilian transport aircraft, the plan was to carry 120 passengers in its huge wings, with a wingspan of 53 meters and a thickness of 2.33 meters. The fuselage had a tail that was supported by two booms, and its undercarriage had massive four-axis wheels to support its weight. It was initially planned to have six 700hp water-cooled engines, but due to insufficient power, a seventh engine was added behind the center of the wing. A taxiing test was conducted in July 1933; it suffered from vibration during the test, but made its maiden flight in August of that year. However, during a flight in November 1933, the tail boom was damaged and the plane crashed, killing 15 crew members. Production of two of this aircraft began, but the plan was canceled in 1935, and the design bureau was shut down in 1938; the designer, Constantine Kalinin, was arrested and executed in 1938.

This kit will be approximately 38.9cm long when completed, and it comes with photo-etched parts, paint mask seals and decals for one version. Get this intriguing aircraft for your collection today!
