Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Ga-43 is a single-engine, ten-seat airliner that first flew in 1932. The aircraft was designed and developed by Fairchild in the United States, but before its first flight, the production plant was acquired by General Motors-controlled General Aviation, and the plan was taken over by that firm. The Ga-43 is a low-wing monoplane passenger aircraft with a metal structure that originally had fixed landing gear; it was later converted to retractable landing gear. Its ten-seat cabin had an elliptical cross-section and a separate cockpit. Five of this aircraft were manufactured, and they were used by Swissair, LAPE, Colombia-Germany Airlines and others. One aircraft was to be exported to Japan and used by Manchuria Aviation, but it was lost in an accident.
