This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The F-35 Lightning II, together with the F-22, is a so-called "fifth generation" fighter developed under the auspices of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program administered by American and a consortium of its military allies. Research and development efforts and funding for the JSF program are shared by its member nations, with the United States making the largest contributions. The main aim of the program is to develop a single, cost-effective, all-purpose military aircraft equally suited to fighter, fighter-bomber, and ground attack combat roles.

The F-35 began life as the "X-35" design, which beat out its main JSF competitor, the X-32, to move on to the preliminary limited production stage.

This kit contains parts molded in grey and clear plastic and includes decals. Completed model measures 217.5mm long with a 148mm wingspan.
