This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Bucker Bu181 Bestmann is a one-shot trainer produced by the German Bucker aircraft manufacturer starting in 1940. It was equipped with an air-cooled four-cylinder 105hp engine manufactured by Hilt. A steel-pipe frame structure was adopted for the fuselage cabin, and a wooden outer structure was used for other portions of the aircraft. In addition, a wooden frame and upholstered structure were adopted for the rudder and ailerons. In addition to being used as a primary trainer by the German Air Force in World War II, it was also used as a ground attack aircraft equipped with a Panzerfaust. It was also widely used outside Germany in locations such as Croatia and the Czech Republic. Approximately 3,400 of this aircraft were produced, and it was active for a long time after the war as well.
This model is a scaled-down version of Stransky's popular 1/48-scale Bucker Bu181 Bestmann, and is a completely new mold! The aircraft's distinctive shape and the texture of the outer wooden structure is carefully reproduced; the cockpit is highly detailed with seats and instrument panels. Transparent parts for the canopy are included, and the door can be assembled opened or closed. Decals for three versions are included: one each for Czechoslovakia, Switzerland and the United States.
