This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
This kit from Airfix is a completely new mold! The Vulcan is a strategic bomber developed by Avro of the United Kingdom and operated by the Royal Air Force. Known as the "V3 bomber," it was armed with nuclear weapons during the Cold War and was also used in bombing missions during the Falklands War. The Vulcan, which adopted the first delta wing on a British practical aircraft (aiming for a long cruising range by utilizing light weight, low resistance and space inside the wing), was initially equipped with a 400kt-class nuclear bomb, and was operated as a nuclear deterrent in the United Kingdom. When Britain's nuclear deterrence moved to strategic nuclear submarines, it was used for maritime patrol and conventional bombing; after the end of the Falklands War in 1982, it continued to operate as an aerial refueling aircraft until its retirement in March 1984.
