This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
This kit from Mikro Mir is a completely new mold! The AW-52 is a two-engine turbojet engine-propelled flying wing that uses British laminar airfoils. Two of this aircraft were built equipped with the Rolls-Royce Derwent engine, and first flew in 1948. The first prototype crashed in 1949, but an emergency escape with the Martin-Baker Mk.1 ejection seat saved the lives of the crew -- the first case of a British pilot using an ejection seat. The second prototype continued to fly at the Royal Aircraft Establishment until 1954.
This kit comes with photo-etched parts, decals for two versions (Unit 1 and Unit 2), and a waterslide decal with a three-dimensional effect for the cockpit which includes an instrument panel and seat belts. Order yours today!
