Description

This is a resin or white metal ship model kit.

The Sverdlov, the last Soviet artillery cruiser, was in planning before World War II but was not commissioned until May of 1952 due to the outbreak of the war. She was one of the first Soviet ships to fully incorporate a welded structure into her hull; 14 ships of her class were built between 1952 and 1955. Due to her size, the Sverdlov was suitable for remodeling and modernization, and she was used for many years. Originally deployed to the Beiyang Fleet, the Alexander Nevsky was completed in December of 1952; she was removed from the register in May 1989, and dismantled the same year.
