The history of the rotary engine, which was temporarily interrupted with the end of production of the RX-7, resumed with the RX-8, which was introduced in 2003. A compact rotary engine was essential in order to embody Mazda's idea of a sports car with four doors and seating for four people. The RX-8, which has evolved to suit the 21st century while retaining the image of Mazda's past sports cars, underwent major interior and exterior changes in 2008 and was produced until 2012, and is currently known as the last rotary sports car.
Tomytec adds the later model of the RX-8 to their "Tomica Limited Vintage NEO" series with a new mold! The hood can be opened and closed and the engine cover is removable. Currently, rotary engines are highly expected to make a comeback as drive engines. Order yours today!
