LV-N Metropolitan 01 Nissan Caravan Ambulance (Shibuya Hospital) Metropolitan Part III Episode 7 "Runway Escape"
The first authentic TV drama produced by Ishihara Promotion was the "Metropolitan" series starring Tetsuya Watari. The first installment, "Metropolitan - Days of Struggle," which started in 1976, was a socially conscious drama that deliberately omitted action and meticulously depicted detectives. However, as the series progressed with "PART II" in '77 and "PART III" in '78, it incorporated more entertainment elements such as car chases, becoming a precursor to the later "Seibu Keisatsu" series.
In TLV-NEO, we're launching a new chapter in the "Metropolitan" series.
This time, we're reproducing the Shibuya Hospital ambulance from PART III.
This vehicle, which appears with Dr. Sogo Munakata, played by Yujiro Ishihara, in the opening sequence of each episode, remains deeply ingrained in the memories of fans.
The model is based on the first-generation Nissan Caravan, which was commonly used as an ambulance, and the coloring has been adjusted to match its appearance in the show.
The slide door and rear gate are openable, and the interior is designed specifically for ambulances, so please take a look.
