The Honda sports car prototype was initially announced in 1962 and officially released the following year as the S500. True to its name, the S500 came equipped with a 500 cc engine. However, in 1964, Honda introduced an upgraded version called the S600, featuring a larger displacement. The following year, they further improved the model and unveiled the S800 with an 800 cc engine.
