This is a die-cast metal, plastic or resin display car model.
GreenLight brings us a die-cast completed display model of the car nicknamed Miss Belvedere! This model depicts this car as it looked the day it was entombed.
In 1957, a mint-condition Plymouth Belvedere in Desert Gold and Sand Dune White was buried in a sealed underground vault near the Tulsa (Oklahoma) city courthouse, with intent to open it in 50 years. The idea was to award the vehicle on its unearthing to the person (or their descendant) who came the closest to guessing Tulsa's population in 2007.
Although the car was buried in a vault that was supposed to withstand a nuclear attack, nearly 2,000 gallons of water had unfortunately seeped in during its entombment, and when it was unearthed in 2007, the car was in sorry shape. It was shipped to a restorer who was unfortunately unable to return the car to its former glory; it's slated to be displayed at the Historic Auto Attractions museum in Roscoe, Illinois.
