About the actual aircraft:

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the U.S. military's close air support and ground attack aircraft, which has been in operation since 1977.

Equipped with twin-engine engines, the main wings have a straight wing style, which is a major characteristic of this aircraft.

The underside of the wings and the fuselage have a total of 11 hard points and have the capacity to carry 7,260 kg of bombs, rockets, and missiles.

In addition, the aircraft is equipped with a GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon in the nose.

The GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon in the nose provides a high attack capability.

Improvements continued after deployment, and the A-10C, which was introduced in 2005, was modified from the A model to have a glass cockpit.

It participated in the Gulf War in 1991.

The A-10C has been highly evaluated for its high reliability and offensive capability.

The Air Force Reserve, 47th Fighter Wing, 917th Wing, based at Barksdale Air Force Base, was one of the units operating the A-10, and tested various camouflage patterns in the 1980s after deployment.

Although the A-10 was not officially adopted, desert camouflage was also tested for desert operations.
