This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The Saab Viggen is a jet fighter developed, deployed, and operated independently by Sweden in Northern Europe. Development began in 1961 as a successor to the Draken. After the first flight was successful in 1967, deployment and operation began in 1971. The aircraft shape is equipped with canards on the left and right sides of the cockpit, and the main wings are delta wings. It carries one Platt & Whitney JT8D-22 engine. While exhibiting a maximum speed of Mach 2.1, it boasted STOL performance that allowed it to take off and land on short runways. In addition to being equipped with a 30mm Oerlikon KCA cannon as fixed armament, it was also capable of operating RB72 Skyflash short-range air-to-air missiles. A total of over 300 of this aircraft were produced. In 2002, the 1st Squadron of the 10th Wing produced a commemorative painted aircraft as a memorial to the disbandment of the wing. The Viggen, whose entire body is painted red, is called the "Red Viggen," and the unit's ghost mark is drawn in white on the nose and main wings. This aircraft is still on display at a museum in Sweden.
