This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The P-43 was the prototype for the P-47 Thunderbolt, and the original AP-4 was originally developed as a standard model of the P-35, but became a high-altitude fighter with a larger fuselage than the P-35 with inward-retracting main landing gear and a turbocharger under the fuselage. It was powered by a 1200hp R-1830 air-cooled star 14-cylinder engine, which in flight tests recorded a top speed of 565km/h, making it the first US fighter to reach speeds in excess of 500km/h. It was also capable of climbing up over 10,000 metres in the skies, which helped to photograph the summit of Mount Everest from an altitude of 13,000 metres in 1942. Until the introduction of the P-38, the P-43 was the only Allied aircraft capable of intercepting the Japanese Type 100 command reconnaissance aircraft. Four types of ROC Air Force decals are included. When completed, it will be approximately 18cm in length and 23cm in width. Order for your collection today!
