At the start of the 1930s, an idea of a high-speed bomber that could outstrip contemporary fighters was proposed. One of the results of this idea was the twin-engine bomber Ju 88, designed by the German manufacturer Junkers Flugzeug und Motorenwerke AG.
In the spring of 1941, Ju 88A-4 planes were produced with liquid-cooled Jumo 211J engines with increased power and more powerful armaments.
The Ju 88A-4 became the most massive and important Luftwaffe bombers. The Ju 88A-11 aircraft, equipped with anti-dust filters and a rescue kit, were used in North Africa and the Mediterranean.
Kit will be 30cm long with a wingspan of 41.8cm when completed; includes 226 parts and decals.
