The EA-18G Growler is an electronic warfare aircraft based on the F/A18-F Super Hornet. Equipped with an AN/ALQ-99 tactical jamming device, it can interfere with enemy radar functions and communications. It also has the same combat capabilities as the Super Hornet, except that the nose cannon has been removed, and it is also compatible with enemy air defense network suppression (SEAD) missions.
