This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Bf109D was used as the German Air Force's main fighter aircraft until just before World War II, from the Spanish Civil War to the Polish Invasion, but they soon switched to the Bf109E. The D-1 was equipped with a Junkers Jumo 210Da liquid-cooled engine, and the armament was an MG17 machine gun with two gates on the top of the nose and the wing. The D-1 was exported to Hungary, Spain and Switzerland, but the ones delivered to Switzerland were unarmed, and because the Swiss-made F1 MG29 machine gun was installed locally, the size of the breech part and the position of the machine gun were different; a large bulge was therefore required in the cowling by the windshield.
This kit comes with new injection parts to reproduce the features of the Swiss-used machine. Photo-etched parts, paint mask seals and decals for 6 versions are included. The total length will be about 17.8cm long with a wingspan of about 20.5cm when completed.
