This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Using the body of the III tank, the III assault gun, which has the main gun in a fixed battle compartment, was created mainly for the close combat support of infantry. Assault guns with fixed fighting compartments are easy to produce and can be equipped with larger guns, so about 10,000 of each type were produced by the end of the war. The production number records the largest number among German combat vehicles during the war. For that reason, a number of variation types were created, but one of the initial production types was the C type, 50 of which were produced in April 1941. From May to September 1941, 150 of the D type were produced, and the only difference between the two was that the D was equipped with an intercom. Both were equipped with a short-barrel 75mm Stuk37L/24 for the main gun. Further improvements were added after that, and it was active in infantry support and anti-tank combat until the end of the war.
Dragon's model kit of the WWII German III assault gun C/D incudes many special parts to reproduce the characteristics of the C/D type, and the lower part of the hull, including the suspension, has a rugged mechanical finish. Magic Tracks are included for ease of assembly. The battle compartment roof parts firmly model the difference in shape from other types, and the hatch details are also sharp. The side shape of the battle compartment, with its slanted overhang, and the luggage compartment that holds the installed communication equipment are realistically represented. The Stuk37L/24 main gun is mechanically reproduced down to the barrel base inside the battle chamber. The interior of the fighting compartment is also carefully duplicated. Order yours today!
