This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The German Tiger I-type tank adopted a powerful 88mm gun as its main gun, and demonstrated overwhelming power over the Allied and Soviet forces. The straight-shaped body boasts 100mm of heavy armor on the front, making it one of the most representative machines of World War II in both offensive and defensive power. Production began in 1942, and when it was assigned to a heavier tank battalion, it demonstrated its power on the North African and Eastern fronts. The type produced from 1943 to 1944 is called the mid-term type. Improvements were made to various parts, such as abolishing the smoke grenade launcher and replacing it with a new cupola equipped with a periscope. Another feature is that from the middle of the mid-term model's production, Zimmerit coating equipment to prevent magnetically attracted landmines became a standard specification. Although the Tiger I began to be deployed sequentially in 1942, it continued to fight hard on the Eastern Front until the end of the war.
This model kit of the Tiger I mid-term model is reproduce with Zimmerit coating applied to the hull to protect against magnetically attracted mines. The pattern and depth of the coating are clearly expressed, and each part of the hull, including the suspension area, is modeled in detail. This kit uses a prefabricated Magic Track for the treads to give it an added sense of realism. The gun barrel includes machined aluminum parts, and the muzzle brake includes 3D-printed parts. Each hatch is modeled with Dragon's unique precision, including opening/closing options and on-board tools. Order yours today!
