This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
One of the half-tracks deployed and operated by the German Army in World War II is the Sd.Kfz.251. This was an armored personnel carrier based on the 3t half-track, and has been used to tow various types of artillery; many derivatives were also made. Among them, the Sd.Kfz.251/9 is a fire-support vehicle type equipped with a 7.5cm KwK37 tank gun, which was also mounted on tanks. The hull was the C type; the final production D type, which began production in 1943 and simplified each part to improve productivity, was used. The basic troop-carrier types was equipped with a Maybach HL-42 inline six-cylinder engine, and had a maximum speed of approximately 50km/h. It was equipped with one 7.92mm machine gun at the front and rear of the open-top troop compartment. This vehicle continued to fight bravely with the armored divisions until the end of the war.
This 1/35-scale model kit from Dragon reproduces the early production type of the Sd.Kfz.251 armored personnel carrier, known as Sd.Kfz.251/9 Ausf.C 7.5cm KwK37 with a 7.5cm gun mounted on a C type body. The 7.5cm gun has an impressive finish; this kit includes machined aluminum parts for the short main gun barrel, complete with rifling carved into the inside. The main gun base has 3D-printed parts for an even sharper finish. The hull has a complex design unique to the Sd.Kfz.251/C type; the open-topped troop compartment is reproduced in detail. Gun racks and communication devices are modeled with great care; the suspension uses EZ Tracks, which are designed to be easy to assemble. This kit increases the sense of reality with 3D-printed parts! Order yours today!
