This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The German Army, which emphasized mobility during World War II, developed a semi-tracked armored personnel carrier known as the Sd.Kfz.251. Taking advantage of its mobility, several variations were produced, including self-propelled guns. One of them was the reconnaissance unit variation that appeared in the official records in December 1944, at the end of the war. Based on the Sd.Kfz.251 D-type, it was equipped with an open-top hexagonal turret equipped with a 55-caliber 2cm machine gun KwK38, and a 7.92mm machine gun MG42 coaxially. Although it was placed into the official records, there is only one photo that seems to be a composite, and it is said that this vehicle was only planned.
Dragon's model kit accurately reproduces the unique style of the Sd.Kfz.251/23 in 1/35 scale. The 2cm machine gun and the 7.92mm machine gun mounted on the hexagonal turret on the upper part of the fighting compartment are modeled in detail. The open-top turret features a mechanical finish; the crawler belt unique to half-tracks are made with EZ Tracks that are easy to assemble for a realistic finish. Photo-etched parts are included for the mesh cover attached to the top of the turret. This kit also includes four German infantry figures as bonus parts. Order yours today!
