This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The S.d.Kfz.251, also known as the Bison II, was a self-propelled artillery gun for fire support made by Germany in World War II; only 12 of them were produced. It was developed to increase mobility, by mounting the highly reliable and powerful 15cm heavy infantry gun s.IG33 to a body based on the Panzer II; the mount wheels were removed to lower the center of gravity. The Panzer II body was extended in both length and width to allow sufficient space for mounting the gun and its shells; the number of wheels was also increased from five to six. The engine was also changed to a V-type 8-cylinder, to provide additional power due to the increased weight. All 12 Bison produced were used in the North African Campaign. They fought hard against British troops, but all of these vehicles were lost in battle or captured by British troops.
This kit from Dragon uses a prefabricated Magic Track for ease of assembly! The lower part of the hull is slide-molded to ensure a high level of detail on the underside. The wheels and suspension arms are also accurately molded. The open-top battle room is loaded with equipment such as communication equipment, shells, and MP40, as well as the central 15cm heavy infantry gun. In-vehicle tools and jerrycan racks are also mounted inside the battle room and outside on the armor plate. The driver's hatch and engine grille hatch are separate parts, and can be assembled either opened or closed. As a bonus, four German infantry figures by Master Box are included as well!
