This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The German III assault gun, which used the body of the III tank, had its main gun in a fixed battle compartment and was created mainly for the close combat support of infantry. Unlike tanks with a rotating turret, it had the advantage of being easy to produce and could be equipped with a larger gun. Initially, it was equipped with a short-barreled 75mm cannon for close combat suppport, but its lack of power became apparent when it fought the powerful Soviet T-34 tank; therefore, the F type equipped with a more powerful long-barreled 75mm gun was created. After that, the F/8 type was born with improvements such as applying additional armor to the fighting room and others, with the III J/L type body used. It was in production from September to December 1942. The III assault gun, with its powerful main gun, played an active role in defensive battles, such as ambushing Allied vehicles at the end of the war with the help of its low silhouette.

This model kit from Dragon reproduces the German III assault gun F/8, which was used in large numbers during World War II; this type was active on the Italian front in 1943. The fighting compartment is made with a multi-directional slide mold, and the low fighting compartment shape and welding marks enhance the realism of the finish. The battle compartment hatch can be built opened or closed. Interior details such as hooks and machine gun racks on the walls from the floor to the interior of the battle room are expressed in great detail. The center of the battle compartment and the main gun's mechanism are also reproduced in detail. The underside of the chassis is integrally molded with a slide mold to highlight details such as the drain hatch. The crawler belt is an assembly-type Magic track.
