This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Among German military motorcycles from World War II, the KS600 is a representative vehicle of the 600cc class. It is equipped with a horizontally opposed engine with an output of 28 horsepower, and uses a shaft drive with excellent durability and ease of maintenance. The maximum speed with the sidecar attached was 96km/h, and the 15-liter fuel tank allowed it to cover about 300 kilometers. Production began in 1938, and it was used for messenger and reconnaissance missions from the beginning of the war. Although production ended in 1941 due to the appearance of its successor, the remaining vehicles were used in a wide range of theaters until the latter half of the war.
This 1/35-scale model kit from Tamiya realistically reproduces the KS600's characteristic structure, such as the pressed steel frame and drive shaft. The spokes are delicately reproduced by dividing the part into two parts. The horizontally opposed engine has a sharp finish, down to the cooling fins. In addition to Army (WH) and Air Force (WL) vehicle numbers, a slide mark on the meter panel is also included. Figures of a non-commissioned officer, a driver, and a standing infantry soldier are included; a signpost is printed on the side of the package so you can easily recreate the scene shown here.
