This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The M48 is the first-generation post-WWII main tank with the nickname Patton, which was developed in the United States. The M47, which was developed as a successor to the M46 operated in the Korean War, had many defects and serious problems, so the T48 was developed in 1950 to improve those defects. After that, the T48E1 with a newly designed turtle-shaped turret and the T48E2 with a boat-shaped body were developed, and as a result of testing, the T48E2 was formalized as the M48 in 1953. Since the successor M60 was deployed at about the same time as the M48, it was used as the main tank of units dispatched to the Vietnam War, although it was used as the main tank by the U.S. military for a short period of time. Even after the start of the deployment of the M60, an improved version of the M48 was deployed mainly to the state soldiers, and as a result of being widely provided to the Western countries during the Cold War, the M48 with its own modifications has been used for a long time in those countries. The M48A1 is a type equipped with a new cockpit hatch and a cupola for the M1 commander, who can operate and load the 12.7mm heavy machine gun M2 from inside the tank.
