This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Dragon's excellent kit of the early M4A1 Sherman tank as used by the British (who called it the Sherman Mk II) during the Battle of El Alamein features the very early "direct vision" hull, with slits actually cut in the frontal armor to allow the driver to see where he was going, rather than the standard (and safer) periscopes of later versions. Also included are the sand skirts, turret bustle bin, and storage boxes often seen on British Shermans. Dragon's kit features excellent texture on the cast hull and turret, with two types of slide-molded main gun barrels, suspension bogies with realistic cast detail, a newly designed rear engine deck, new photo-etched metal tool clasps, and brand-new T41 tracks rendered as flexible "Dragon Styrene" plastic belts. Markings are provided for seven vehicles. This is a "Smart Kit," a series Dragon touts as offering the most detail with the least hassle. The parts count is kept down by using slide-mold technology to mold as much detail into the parts as possible. A great kit of a great tank!
