This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore is said to be masterpiece among the fighter aircraft developed by Italy during World War II. Macchi developed the MC.202 in accordance with the R Plan, which aimed to modernize Air Force aircraft before World War II. Development began as an evolved version of that, and the first flight took place in August 1940. Instead of the MC.200's Fiat A74RC38-type liquid-cooled radial engine, it was equipped with a DB601A-1 liquid-cooled inverted V-type engine from German ally Daimler-Benz with over 1,000 horsepower. Along with the engine replacement, the design of the aircraft's shape was also significantly changed. The design has a smaller overall projected area, which improves aerodynamic performance. It achieved a maximum speed of 600km/h, surpassing the German Messerschmitt Bf109 equipped with the same engine. Combined with its inherent maneuverability, it. became an aircraft that excelled in both hit-and-run combat and hand-to-hand combat.

The rudder and tail aileron are movable, and the flaps can be assembled open or closed.
