Trailers, one of the most essential vehicles for road transport, come in many forms. The low-floor trailer features a low loading platform, and is useful for transporting heavy machinery such as bulldozers and other long, large items. The type where the trailer itself lacks a front wheel is known as a semi-trailer, and is used in combination with a trailer head and tractor. In the U.S., where truck transportation is popular, low-floor trailers are known as "lowboys," and they've been a common sight on U.S. highways for many years. 

This model kit from AMT/ERTL includes the lowboy trailer and semi-trailer, as well as a bulldozer. The frame and suspension of the trailer are reproduced in great detail, along with the three-axis rear axle equipped with 12 tires and the texture of the loading platform. The bulldozer is a common type that was found in various parts of the U.S. from the 1950s to the 1970s, and features a high degree of detail from the engine to the suspension. Visible after completion, the engine is an in-line 6-cylinder turbocharger, including auxiliary equipment. The open-top driver's area includes the seat, pedals and various levers; the blade can be assembled at any position, and a one-claw ripper is reproduced on the rear. Combine this kit with a 1/25-scale trailer head and tractor for even more impact!
