This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
This 1/4-ton four-wheel-drive truck is an American small military vehicle developed during World War II and deployed in large numbers. Based on a prototype developed by Bantam in 1940, it was also produced by Willys and Ford, and in 1941 its deployment began. The ladder frame is equipped with leaf spring rigid axles. It was active in each front due to the excellent drivability of its four-wheel drive, along with its toughness and reliability. It was used not only by the U.S. military, but also by the British military; it was produced by Willys, Ford and Bantam, and the total number of vehicles produced is said to be more than 600,000. In addition to being used by the military of various countries for a long time after the war, its practicality was highly supported by civilian users, and a new genre as an off-road vehicle was established.
This model kit from Platz brings us the familiar 1/4-ton four-wheel-drive military vehicle with a stencil for painting the national mark and numbers painted on the body of this vehicle during the war! Using an airbrush will lend the stenciled markings a higher degree of realism. The four-wheel-drive mechanism is reproduced in detail, with the front and rear axles equipped with leaf springs on the ladder frame. An in-line four-cylinder engine is also modeled at the front, and the hood can be opened and closed after assembly.
