The Nissan GT-R Nismo GT-3 was a racing-only vehicle developed by Nismo according to FIA GT 3 regulations, and based on their commercial R35-GT-R. Its VR38DETT engine, similar to the base car's 3.8-liter V-type 6-cylinder DOHC twin turbo engine, generates a maximum output of 550ps or more. It features a semi-automatic paddle shift, with a rear-wheel drive system because all-wheel drive is prohibited by FIA regulation. Since its debut in 2012, annual refinements have been added to combat its global rivals, improving its fighting power and reliability. It won the Australia Bathurst 12 Hour Race held in February 2015.
