This is an injection-plastic figure kit.
The French Revolution occurred from July 14, 1789 to August 1795. It destroyed the feudal system that existed up to that time, transforming it into a social system in which ordinary people and citizens had rights, and opened the door to modern society. Merchants and ordinary citizens rose up against the ruling class, which consisted of monarchs, aristocrats, and religious figures, and waged fierce battles with much bloodshed. The execution of Marie Antoinette, wife of King Louis XVI, is remembered as one of the tragedies of the revolution; she met her death via the guillotine, which became widely used as a method of execution during the French Revolution.
This model kit from Doll & Hobby reproduces the guillotine -- a revival of the classic kit released by Aurora in the 1960s! The shape of the guillotine is accurately reproduced; it has 46 parts. The kit includes a figure of a prisoner with his hands tied behind his back. The table on which the figure is placed can be moved, just as in real life, and can be moved to the tip of the guillotine. The movement of the blade falling from top to bottom is reproduced; the figure's head is a separate part, and it can be separated from the figure's body by dropping the blade. The basket used to catch the heads of victims is also reproduced. A backboard for display is included. Order this iconic kit for your own collection today!
