Amazing speed for the time! Also amazing was the price, which was between $15,000-$25,000, which doesn't sound too crazy today, but back then the average American income was only about $2 a week! Thus, the Duesenberg Boattail SJ Weymann Speedster was indeed a supercar for the super-rich.

This is Bandai's reissue of their classic Duesenberg kit, but the toolings seem as sharp as ever, with no hint of flash or any other signs of age showing at all. The kit features a highly detailed engine and interior, with multi-piece whitewall tires and plenty of chrome parts. The hood, convertible top, and rear trunk lid are removable to reveal all that amazing detail within. Body and chassis are molded in black, with clear and chrome parts.
