About the actual aircraft:

The U.S. Navy's world-class acrobatic flight team is the Blue Angels.

Based at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida, the Blue Angels were created in 1946.

The Blue Angels are a team of acrobatic pilots who show the world the high level of skill of their pilots by displaying their high flying techniques.

In particular, the Blue Angels are characterized by their formation flying, which is so dense that you can almost reach out and touch them, and their display flights attract many spectators.

The aircraft used have been the mainstay fighters of their era.

The first aircraft used was the F6F, and the Hornet has been used since 1986.

The early F/A-18A/Bs were used until 2010, the C/Ds since 2011, and the E/F Super Hornets since 2021.

The livery of the aircraft, blue with yellow lines, has been highly acclaimed for its performance in exhibition flights in the United States and around the world.

About the model:

The model is a plastic model assembly kit of the F/A-18 Hornet, the U.S. Navy's masterpiece ship-based fighter in 1/144 scale.

The model is a single-seat C-type among the F/A-18s.
