Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The UH-60JA is a rescue helicopter operated by the Japan Self-Defense Forces. Based on the UH-60 Black Hawk developed by Sikorsky of the United States, it is licensed and domestically produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It was put into operation in 1991 with equipment suitable for operation in Japan. It's equipped with two T700I HI-401C turboshaft engines, boasting a maximum speed of about 140 knots and a cruising range of about 1,295km. It's also equipped with an infrared night-vision device and terrain tracking radar, and is known for its high all-weather capability. Its long cruising range makes it ideal for rescue missions. The Ground Self-Defense Force has been using it as a utility helicopter since 1997, and some of them are equipped with aerial refueling equipment. It's also used by the Maritime and Air Self-Defense Forces, widely used in various missions that play a part in the defense of Japan's land, territorial waters and airspace.
