Ruthless Onslaught, the Decepticons' master military strategist, is now an Ultra Class transformable toy that can transform between his assault vehicle mode and robot mode! In assault vehicle mode, electronic lights are activated and engine and blaster sounds will play with the push of a button. He comes with a shield that can be attached to his left arm when in robot mode. This Japan limited color release of Onslaught is painted to resemble his G1 color scheme. Two test AAA batteries are included.

Initially released in the U.S. in Hasbro's "Transformers Universe Classic Ultra" toy line, Onslaught and other Transformers in this "Transformers Universe USA Edition" line are redecorated by Takara Tomy for the Japanese market with a different color scheme for a more accurate resemblance to their counterparts in the original "Transformers" animated show. Each figure in this series also comes in Hasbro's original box design with two Japanese stickers (one on the front and another on the bottom) applied to the packaging.
