As seen in 2003's "Godzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo SOS," Godzilla is now joining X Plus's "Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection" -- a series of soft-vinyl figures sculpted and produced by Yuji Sakai! This figure is being released as a painted, finished soft-vinyl figure using the same mold as the garage kit released by Yuji Sakai Sculpture Studio in 2004. Godzilla is seen in his iconic roaring pose, staring up at Mothra, inspired by the fierce battle between the two kaiju that unfolded in downtown Tokyo. Every detail of the King of the Monsters has been meticulously sculpted, from the distinctive shape of his neck and sharp dorsal fins to the chest scar he sustained in the previous film, "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," making it seem as if Godzilla has stepped directly out of the movie.

Sakai's sculpt exudes an overwhelming presence; as with previous releases in this lineup, his cast prototype was converted into wax, and a master mold was created. The final product is molded solely from that master mold, minimizing wear and tear during the soft-vinyl production process and focusing on reproducing every detail as sharply as possible.
