This is a fixed-pose model of a science-fiction/anime item.

Limited to 100 pieces worldwide! This is a huge prepainted, pre-assembled diorama of the original 1954 Godzilla, recreating the shot featured in a promotional poster and other staged studio shots of the original suit being confronted by tanks and artillery. Standing a monstrous 40cm (about 16 inches) tall on a three-piece interlocking base 90cm (about 3 feet) long, this impressive piece not only looks great, but also features light and sound! An infrared sensor in the rocks at Godzilla's feet triggers the sound of the Big G's mighty footsteps, followed by a resounding roar, and finishing with his fins lighting up as they do just before he unleashes his atomic breath (fortunately, the figure doesn't go quite that far!). The set includes the three-piece interlocking base, four M24 Chaffee tanks, three howitzer artillery pieces, and Godzilla himself. Four AA batteries (not included) are required to operate the light and sound, and are concealed in a rock-like battery box under Godzilla. The IR sensor is activated by any movement that takes place within a close distance of it at a span of 150 degrees, and takes about 12 seconds to "warm up" after being switched on. Godzilla's fins are lit by a series of eight LEDS. The base, military equipment, and the Big G himself are all fully painted and ready to display. The unpainted examples in the illustrations below show the prototype. Japanese instructions for use are included, with easy-to-understand illustrations provided as well. Weighing in at 16 kilos (about 35 pounds), this is a tremendously impressive addition--or beginning!--to any Godzilla collection!
